The People of Taiwan
People of Taiwan is a portrait-driven series in which each subject is aware (at least in some quiet, instinctive way) that they are being photographed. I am drawn to people who radiate something that catches me: beauty, calmness, serenity, or simply an emotion that resonates without words.
This approach allows me to create images that feel both intentional and intimate. It is a way of photographing with a sense of consent, presence, and respect. Through the brief exchange of a glance, a nod, or a shared moment, I establish a human connection that feels sincere and grounding.
As an introvert, this process becomes more than photography; it becomes a language. These portraits are my way of communicating, of reaching out to others, and of honouring the quiet stories written on their faces.
